DESCRIPTION OF JOB TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs tank farm and marine fuel operations per recurring and specific operations orders.
- Follows procedures/instructions affecting safety, security, fire prevention, and environmental protection.
- Prepares hoses and equipment; lines up pump, tank, and pipeline valves, drains water from service tanks before operations, reports all actions taken to the POL controller
- Perform pre/post-operation gauging and temperature measurements of tanks and barges.
- Operates pumps, barges, or other distribution equipment.
- During operations, observe gauging and metering devices.
- Report readings as required, and immediately report abnormal operating conditions to the POL controller
- Open and close containment dike drain valves and report actions to the POL controller
- Performs vacuum truck operations as required.
- Obtains tank and system fuel samples and delivers them to the POL laboratory as required by guidance or when directed by supervisory personnel during after-hours operations.
- Complete required operational forms (e.g. tank gauging sheets, operational checklists, etc) and forward them to controller.
- Reports operational status to POL controller via radio as required.
- Performs any required actions to protect personnel and/or equipment during operations and perform spill containment and clean-up actions as directed.
- Performs other duties as directed by supervisory fuels personnel.
BASIC JOB QUALIFICATIONS: (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- Must be familiar with the general characteristics and hazards of petroleum products.
- Must be familiar with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Must have good oral and written communication skills which enable effective liaison with clients, other departments within the organization, subcontractors, and clients; reports directly to the assistant POL superintendent.
- Particular attention to detail, good project management skills.
- Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health.
- Must be contract-oriented and computer literate in microsoft office software.
- Must have a valid and obtain a country-of-origin driver’s license with at least restriction code 2 and / or 3.
- Must have completed airfield vehicle operators’ instruction course (AVOIC) training and receive a license to operate vehicles on the airfield.
JOB SPECIFICATION: SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAINING
- Must have basic knowledge to operate a vacuum suction truck for facility requirements.
EDUCATION:
- Must have at least a High School diploma, vocational or technical course graduate is required.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least two (2) years of experience in the storage and distribution of petroleum products. Including operations of constant pressure-type fuel dispensing and storage systems is desired.
Basic terms of the job offer.
- Assignment Duration: 12 months. Renewal subject to performance.
- Base Monthly Salary: 48 hours per week minimum work requirement: $ 552.00 (based on 48 hr. work week requirement)
- Working schedule: 48 hours per week (8 hours per day/6 days a week)
- Payroll period: Monthly. Amount give take home.
- Overtime: Work more than 8 hours per day or work performed on a rest day and/or holiday,will be paid as overtime at the base salary rate.
- Accommodations: Housing, transportation, meals in-country, and laundry facilities are provided
- Sick Leave: Employee will accrue 2.67 hours of sick leave for each full month of service, beginning with the completion of the first full month of Foreign Service employment.
- Annual leave Up to 21 days paid at the end of each 12-month contract.
- Travel will be provided by the employer to the employee's home country.
- Project Holidays: 10 paid holidays. New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday, President’s Day, Philippine Independence Day, USA Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day

- Your Passport must be valid for at least 12 months, with at least 6 total blank visa pages remaining.
- Your driver’s license must be valid for at least 6 months (unless processing for a CDL-required position, which will require 12 months remaining).
