Head of Commercial at Safaricom Investment Co-operative (S.I.C.)
The role is critical in providing commercial leadership, maximizing business performance, enhancing market competitiveness, and ensuring sustainable revenue growth across all commercial operations.
What You Will Do
- To drive integration across the various revenue streams within the organization.
- Aligning sales, business development, and customer engagement strategies to meet both growth and impact targets.
- To scale up E-commerce, Diaspora and VAS products, dedicated executive oversight is required.
- Ensure there is efficiency, strategic focus, partner engagement, and accountability across all commercial initiatives.
- Lead strategy, execution, and financial performance of housing and land sales, e-commerce, and customer value-added services and the societys commercial performance as a whole.
- Oversee sales planning, pricing, market research, and customer experience across commercial verticals.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver profitable, scalable commercial projects.
- Develop commercial KPIs and report performance to executive leadership and the Board.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Project Management, or related field.
- Masters degree in Business Administration, Strategic Management, or related field is desirable.
- Minimum 7-12 years with at least 3-5 years in a senior commercial leadership role, preferably in real estate, property development, E-commerce, VAS or sales-intensive sectors.
- Proven experience in managing diverse commercial portfolios and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
