Responsibilities or duties,
- Provide overall leadership, planning, and supervision of the laboratory department
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, KMLTTB/MOH regulations, and accreditation requirements
- Oversee test result accuracy, turnaround time, and equipment maintenance
- Manage, mentor, and appraise laboratory staff performance
- Develop and enforce SOPs, safety, and quality assurance protocols
- Manage laboratory budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships
- Liaise with clinicians and hospital management on diagnostic service delivery
- Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills),
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences
- Valid KMLTTB registration/license
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g. ISO 15189) and lab accreditation
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Experience needed,
Minimum 5-7 years' laboratory experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership/managerial role
