  • Our client, a reputable Construction company, is actively looking for a qualified and experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee all HR activities within the company. The HR Manager will be responsible for recruitment, staff welfare, discipline, performance management, training, and ensuring compliance with Kenyan labor laws. The role also involves supporting plant operations by ensuring the right people, systems, and structures are in place.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage recruitment, onboarding, and staff placement
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Manage employee relations, including resolving disputes and handling disciplinary matters
  • Oversee staff attendance, leave management, and welfare initiatives
  • Coordinate performance evaluations and support staff development
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and health & safety regulations
  • Support management in workforce planning and organizational structure
  • Supervise payroll processing and administration of employee benefits
  • Promote a positive work culture across all plant locations

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Higher Diploma in HR or CHRP certification is a strong advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years’ HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
  • Registered and active member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM)
  • Solid knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and HR best practices
  • Experience working in manufacturing, construction, or industrial settings is an added advantage
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple sites
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented
  • Familiarity with HR systems and tools
