Role Context

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Internal Audit Assistant to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the integrity of our financial operations and supporting our mission of driving development. The Internal Audit Assistant will play a key role in risk management and compliance activities, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Internal Audit Assistant include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in the planning and execution of internal audits.
  • Reviewing financial records and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Identifying potential risks and control weaknesses.
  • Preparing audit reports and recommendations for management.
  • Supporting the implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Conducting follow-up reviews to ensure corrective actions have been taken.
  • Maintaining audit documentation and working papers.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of related experience in internal audit, risk management, or compliance.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of internal control principles and audit methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
