Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking to hire a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will have prior accounting experience within a manufacturing setup, strong reconciliation skills, and familiarity with inventory and cost accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and reconcile daily financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor inventory transactions and track cost of goods sold (COGS).
- Reconcile supplier accounts, customer statements, and bank transactions.
- Support payroll accounting and ensure accurate statutory deductions and filings.
- Assist in budgeting, variance analysis, and cost tracking for production inputs.
- Collaborate with the production and stores teams to validate material movements and consumption.
- Prepare documentation and schedules required for internal and external audits.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
- Participate in regular stock takes and investigate variances.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CPA Part II or above is a distinct advantage.
- Minimum 1–2 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, Sage, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of inventory accounting and cost allocation principles.
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
