Job Description

A school in Ruai is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kiswahili/French Facilitator to join its academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons in Kiswahili and French, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting students in achieving academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver effective Kiswahili and French lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum.
  • Assess students' progress through assignments, tests, and examinations.
  • Create an engaging, inclusive, and learner-centered classroom environment.
  • Encourage students to develop proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening in both languages.
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and learning resources.
  • Maintain accurate student records, including attendance and academic performance.
  • Participate in school meetings, co-curricular activities, and parent-teacher conferences as required.
  • Uphold the school's policies, values, and professional teaching standards.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Education with specialization in Kiswahili and/or French, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is an added advantage, where applicable.
  • Previous teaching experience is preferred.
  • Excellent command of Kiswahili and French, both written and spoken.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Passion for teaching and student development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute positively to the school community.
