Responsibilities or duties
- Own sales targets and business growth objectives for the LK portfolio across East Africa.
- Develop and execute territory and account plans to achieve annual sales and profitability targets.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across Data Centers, Commercial Buildings, Industrial Facilities, Utilities, Infrastructure, and Manufacturing sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with end users, consultants, EPC contractors, electrical contractors, panel builders, system integrators, and developers.
- Drive specification wins and project conversion throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and manage channel partners and retail distribution networks to drive market coverage and growth.
- Organize customer seminars, technical workshops, roadshows, exhibitions, and industry events.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and customer requirements to strengthen market positioning.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, opportunity pipelines, and performance reports.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Strategic selling and solution-selling capabilities.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and account management skills.
- Proven ability to identify opportunities and develop new business.
- Strong pipeline management and project conversion experience.
- Experience in channel partner development and market expansion.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Customer-centric approach with a strong focus on long-term value creation.
- Technical knowledge of LV Power Products, Control Gear, Final Distribution, Busway/Busduct Systems, and Power Distribution Solutions.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and matrix management capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively across diverse cultures and stakeholders within the East Africa and MEA regions.
Experience needed
- Must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in Technical Sales, Business Development, Project Sales, and Electrical Distribution Solutions.
- Strong understanding of the East African market for LV Power and Final Distribution Products.
- Experience engaging consultants, EPC contractors, electrical contractors, and large end-user accounts.
- Strong commercial, negotiation, account management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Technical knowledge of LV Power Products, Control Gear, Final Distribution, Busway/Busduct Systems, and Power Distribution Solutions.
