JOB DETAILS:
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Earned PhD in Media Studies or related area (or a Master's degree in relevant area in exceptional cases with experience) from an accredited University.
- At least three (3) years teaching experience at university level or in research.
- Registered with the relevant professional body.
- A minimum of 24 publication points, of which at least 16 points should be from referred journal papers
- Evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars or workshops.
- Evidence of active participation in school/departmental activities or demonstrated leadership in university activities
- Demonstration of teaching abilities in specific areas of Radio Production, Programme Scripting, Digital and Analog Studio Operations, and General Broadcast Journalism Practice
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducting quality research to enhance the scholarship, visibility and intellectual contribution of the University.
- Engaging in curriculum and program review and development.
- Ensuring consistent Christian behavior in line with the University's vision.
- Evaluating students through continuous assessments and examinations.
- Implementing change initiatives to achieve desired university strategic goals.
- Mentoring of students in academic and spiritual nurture.
- Mobilizing resources and building bridges with industry.
- Teaching and training of students in line with University policies, processes and procedures.
