The Legal Assistant will provide day-to-day legal support across departments, ensuring all business activities are compliant with applicable laws and regulations. This includes reviewing contracts, managing legal risks, supporting litigation, and ensuring permits and filings are up to date. The role also helps enforce corporate ethics and compliance across the organization.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a corporate or legal environment. Strong understanding of legal compliance and court procedures.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality. Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Solid knowledge of labor laws, contract law, and intellectual property.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally with other departments. Proficient in legal research, risk analysis, and advisory.
- Demonstrated ethical judgment and ability to manage multiple legal matters. Should have a Human Resource background.
Key Competencies
- Draft, review, and advise on contracts, MOUS, and legal documents.
- Monitor and manage regulatory compliance and statutory filings.
- Support HR with employee-related legal matters.
- Oversee renewal of business permits and licenses (e.g., NEMA, DOSH).
- Protect the company's intellectual property rights.
- Manage ongoing litigation in collaboration with external legal counsel.
- Provide timely legal advice to internal departments.
- Develop internal legal policies and compliance checklists.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly legal department reports.
- Support contract negotiation and risk analysis processes
