Pharmacy Technician – 1 Position
Location: Dandora, Nairobi, Kenya
Job Purpose
A pharmacy in Dandora, Nairobi, is seeking a qualified and reliable Pharmacy Technician to support the efficient operation of the pharmacy by dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing quality customer service while ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Receive, verify, and process prescriptions accurately.
- Provide customers with basic information on the proper use and storage of medications.
- Manage pharmaceutical stock, including ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
- Ensure proper storage of medicines and monitor expiry dates.
- Maintain accurate dispensing records and pharmacy documentation.
- Process customer transactions and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Adhere to pharmacy regulations, infection prevention protocols, and ethical standards.
- Support the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma in Pharmacy Technology or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Registration with the relevant professional regulatory body in Kenya, where applicable.
- Previous experience in a retail or community pharmacy is an added advantage.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
