Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to support our procurement team in sourcing, ordering, and managing materials and supplies. The role is key to ensuring timely availability of goods while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and processing purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, suppliers, orders, and deliveries.
- Track inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of materials.
- Liaise with suppliers to confirm order details, timelines, and resolve discrepancies.
- Support in evaluating supplier quotations and negotiating for best value.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Prepare reports and provide administrative support to the purchasing team.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.
- 1–2 years’ experience in a purchasing or administrative role (manufacturing/FMCG background is an advantage).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with ERP systems
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
