JOB DETAILS:

Cowater International is seeking a skilled Project Accountant to support the financial management of donor-funded programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, and supporting project teams with budgeting, reporting, and audit readiness. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to impactful international development work by ensuring sound financial oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project financial records.
• Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and prepare financial reports.
• Support financial aspects of project audits and ensure compliance with donor guidelines.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure effective financial planning and reporting.
• Assist in procurement, contract management, and financial controls related to project implementation.

Job requirements

• ACCA or similar recognised accountancy qualification.
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or audit.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in project financial management or a similar role.
• Experience working on donor-funded programs is essential.
