DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with hospital standards, policies, and patient safety protocols.
  • Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions and report changes promptly to physicians and relevant healthcare professionals.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely and accurately while monitoring patients for reactions and side effects.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation, medical records, and nursing reports.
  • Provide patient-centered care including hygiene assistance, nutrition support, mobility assistance, and emotional support.
  • Assist physicians and healthcare teams during medical procedures and examinations.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to patient emergencies and critical care situations.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality, dignity, comfort, and safety at all times.
  • Operate and maintain medical equipment responsibly and report any malfunctions appropriately.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medication, and post-care procedures where necessary.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or Degree in Nursing (KRN/KRCHN/BScN) from a recognized institution.
  • Must hold a valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical working experience in a hospital setting.
  • Must have completed and passed the Qatar Prometric Examination.
  • Must have completed the DataFlow verification process.
  • Valid passport.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Experience in ICU, ER/A&E, Theatre/OR, Pediatrics, Medical-Surgical, HDU, or Critical Care is an added advantage.
