CDL was founded in early 2003 by its current Managing Director Lucy Mmari. Within her 14 year tenure in a well established logistics company, She honed her skill in human resources management and thereafter started CDL.
We are seeking a dynamic, goal-oriented Sales Agent to join our growing retail team. This role is critical in driving revenue through exceptional customer service, product expertise, and proactive selling. The ideal candidate will be passionate about sales, thrive in a fast-paced retail setting, and play a key role in delivering a world-class shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Customer Engagement
- Greet, engage, and build rapport with customers to identify their needs and offer tailored product solutions.
- Drive in-store sales through upselling, cross-selling, and promoting ongoing offers or loyalty programs.
- Achieve and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets and KPIs.
Operational Excellence
- Process transactions quickly and accurately using the POS system.
- Maintain optimal stock presentation, replenishing merchandise and reporting stock variances.
- Ensure store cleanliness, visual merchandising standards, and product placement are consistently upheld.
Customer Service & Experience
- Resolve customer issues with professionalism and empathy, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
- Provide detailed product knowledge and recommendations that enhance the customer journey.
- Actively gather customer feedback and report trends to management for business improvement.
Team & Brand Representation
- Act as a brand ambassador by reflecting company values and appearance at all times.
- Collaborate with teammates to ensure smooth store operations and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in store promotions, marketing activities, and seasonal campaigns.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma/degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business is an added advantage.
- Experience 2–3 years in retail sales or customer-facing roles, preferably in cosmetic products, fashion, or electronics.
- Tech Skills: Proficient with POS systems and basic inventory software.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong persuasion and negotiation abilities
- Customer-centric mindset with attention to detail
- High levels of integrity, energy, and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays
