The Micro and Small Enterprise Authority (MSEA) is a state corporation established under the Micro and Small Enterprise Act No. 55 of 2012. The Act was developed through a stakeholder’s consultation process which took several years. The Authority is now domiciled in the Ministry of Industry,Trade and Co-operatives
Responsibilities or duties,
Job specification
Duties and responsibilities will entail:
- Implementing policies, projects and programmes in relation to Micro and Small Enterprise
- Marketing Authority programmes
- Writing proposals for funding
- Implementing programmes and projects
- Providing business counselling
- Evaluating training programmes/exhibition events
- Liaising with stakeholders on program implementation
- Compiling training /exhibition reports
- Coordinating regional events and programmes
- Preparing periodic and quarterly reports
- Disseminating information on access to finance by MSEs
- Evaluating the implementation of projects and program relating to or affecting MSEs
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills),
Person specifications
For appointment to this position, a candidate must have:-
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Entrepreneurship, Business Management, Administration, Strategic Management, Agri-Business, Marketing, Commerce, Enterprise Development, Human Resource Management/Development Arts and design or any other social sciences from a recognized institution
- Supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks is an added advantage
- Proficiency in computer application
- Shown merit and ability as is reflected in work performance and results.
Experience needed,
A minimum of four (4) years relevant work experience
Any other provided details (e.g., benefits, work environment, team info, or additional notes).
