Role Context
The Senior Programme Officer will play a crucial role in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of MSI Choices' programs. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership and project management skills to drive impactful initiatives and contribute to the organization's mission.
Responsibilities
The Senior Programme Officer will be responsible for:
- Developing and managing program strategies and work plans.
- Overseeing the implementation of program activities and ensuring they align with organizational goals.
- Monitoring program progress, evaluating outcomes, and preparing regular reports.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, partners, and community leaders.
- Managing program budgets and ensuring financial accountability.
- Providing technical guidance and support to program staff and partners.
- Identifying opportunities for program growth and sustainability.
Qualifications and Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field. A Master's degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in program management, preferably within the reproductive health or development sector.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, project implementation, and M&E.
- Strong understanding of the Kenyan health system and reproductive health landscape.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
