Senior Supply Chain Assistant
Minimum Qualification and Experience
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (Supply Chain and Logistics; Purchasing and Supplies, Commerce (Supplies Management Option), BA (Supplies Management option) or equivalent;
- Must have at least three (3) years ‘relevant experience as supply chain assistant or equivalent position;
- Be a Member of a relevant professionally body and be in good standing;
- Proficiency in computer applications; and
- Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: –
- Preparing tender documents;
- Secretariat services to the tender opening and technical evaluation committees;
- Secretariat services to procurement committees;
- Preparing periodic procurement reports;
- Participating in technical and financial evaluation of tenders;
- Handling queries from both internal and external customers;
- Implementing provision of the Procurement manuals;
- Conducting market research and surveys of goods and services;
- Providing input in preparing specifications;
- Ensuring safe Custody of stores;
- Participating in quality management and performance contracting processes; and
- Issuing of stores to users
