About the role

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Service Engineer will be the technical focal point for Kärcher East Africa, providing expert technical support to customers and dealer partners while ensuring the highest standards of equipment performance, service delivery and customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening Kärcher’s technical capability by supporting dealer development, conducting technical training, managing warranty processes and ensuring service excellence across the region.

What you’ll do

  • Install, commission, diagnose and repair Kärcher equipment in accordance with company standards.
  • Deliver technical support and troubleshooting to customers, dealers and service partners.
  • Conduct technical training on equipment maintenance, diagnostics and repairs.
  • Support commissioning of specialised equipment in collaboration with Kärcher Germany.
  • Manage warranty inspections, claims and technical documentation.
  • Support implementation of preventive maintenance programmes and service contracts.
  • Assist dealers with spare parts forecasting and service planning.
  • Maintain accurate service reports and technical records.
  • Drive continuous improvement of service quality and customer experience.
  • Ensure compliance with Kärcher’s quality, safety and operational standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience servicing industrial, commercial or heavy-duty equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience in equipment installation, maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs.
  • Previous experience servicing Kärcher equipment will be a distinct advantage.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across Kenya and occasionally within East Africa.
