Duties and Responsibilities
- Define and lead QA strategies that embody shift-left principles, embedding quality from the earliest stages of planning and design across web and mobile applications, including Flutter-based platforms.
- Own the quality assurance lifecycle by driving early testing activities such as requirements reviews, risk assessments, and test planning across all stages of development.
- Design and scale automated testing frameworks for web and mobile platforms to support fast feedback, improve test coverage, and ensure reliable releases across multiple environments.
- Establish robust testing processes for functional, regression, integration, API, and performance validation to ensure end-to-end product quality.
- Enable test automation within CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous validation and early detection of issues in development workflows.
- Guide and mentor QA engineers in best practices for test design, automation strategy, and quality ownership across the SDLC.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration with engineering, project, and design teams to ensure shared responsibility for quality from ideation through deployment.
- Continuously improve QA processes, introducing scalable methodologies, metrics, and feedback loops to drive measurable quality outcomes.
- Ensure effective test data management and backend validation, leveraging strong knowledge of databases and backend systems.
- Oversee QA planning and reporting using project and test management platforms to align testing efforts with sprint goals and product milestones.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science or any other relevant courses is relevant but not required.
- 4+ years of experience in web automation, API testing, and performance testing.
- Expert in defining and driving QA strategies grounded in shift-left principles, integrating quality early into the SDLC across web and mobile platforms in agile environments.
- Proficient in Playwright and Cypress for scalable, maintainable test automation, with a focus on early detection and continuous feedback.
- Experienced in functional and integration testing of APIs using Postman, with a proactive approach to validating APIs as early as design and contract definition.
- Working knowledge of k6 and JMeter to plan and execute performance and load tests, ensuring system resilience is validated pre-release.
- Skilled in JavaScript, PHP, and Dart to support automation, test harness development, and integration across frontend, backend, and mobile systems.
- Proficient in using the Cucumber framework to align test scenarios with business requirements, promoting shared understanding across teams from the outset.
