Responsibilities or duties
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Designs & Proposals Technician (Solar PV) to join our tech- nical team in Safer Power Limited within the Safer Power Group. The successful candidate will assist in de- signing solar PV systems, preparing technical proposals, and supporting project implementation.
Qualifications or requirementsÂ
- Diploma or Certificate in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in solar design software (e.g., PVsyst, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Strong understanding of solar system components and electrical design principles.
- Good report writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- A proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Experience needed
Minimum 2 years of experience in solar PV system design, proposals, or a similar technical role.
- Assist in the design and sizing of Solar PV systems (off-grid, hybrid, and grid-tied).
- Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals for clients.
- Conduct site surveys and data collection to inform design parameters.
- Generate system drawings, layouts, and single-line diagrams using relevant software.
- Support the technical team during project implementation and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.
- Collaborate with sales, procurement, and installation teams to ensure timely project delivery.
