Job Opportunity: Area Sales Manager – Nairobi West
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Contract Duration: Open-ended Contract
Working Hours: Full-time (Monday to Saturday)
Reports To: Head of Sales and Credit

Role Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and results-oriented Area Sales Manager, to lead and manage sales activities across our assigned hub. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all field sales operations across the Nairobi West region. This includes supervising Team
Leaders and their Account Managers, driving customer acquisition, activation, and retention, and ensuring that sales and operational standards are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Growth Performance
● Own and drive all key performance metrics 
● Analyze daily and weekly sales KPIs to identify trends, gaps, and growth opportunities
● Implement sales strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly growth targets
● Ensure high visit efficiency and conversion
2. Team Leadership & Management
● Manage, support and coach the sales team 
● Conduct structured weekly reviews 
● Ensure team compliance
3. Operational Excellence
● Oversee daily field operations
● Coordinate closely with various teams to address regional challenges and
optimize turnaround times
● Identify and resolve field bottlenecks
4. Data & Reporting
● Use dashboards and CRM data to monitor performance 
● Prepare weekly and monthly reports
● Ensure accurate CRM reporting for visits, orders, and customer engagement metrics.
5. Market Intelligence:
● Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and promotions
● Provide actionable insights to improve market share and customer retention
● Recommend localized campaigns and promotional initiatives to strengthen performance
Qualifications & Experience:
● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field
● 5+ years of experience in FMCG, B2B distribution, or field sales management
● Proven success managing teams across multiple clusters or territories
● Strong analytical and leadership capabilities 
● Proficiency in CRM tools, Excel, and reporting systems
Key Competencies:
● Leadership and team development
● Data-driven, execution-focused mindset
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills
● High ownership and accountability for results
● Agility and problem-solving under pressure
