CDL was founded in early 2003 by its current Managing Director Lucy Mmari.Within her 14 year tenure in a well established logistics company, She honed her skill in human resources management and thereafter started CDL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day haulage and mining activities including breaking, loading, stockpiling, and transportation.
- Ensure truck utilization, fuel efficiency, tyre life, and tonnage targets (3,500 tons/day) are met.
- Coordinate with workshop and operations teams to maximize uptime.
- Implement and monitor planned preventive maintenance and HSE standards.
- Train, develop, and motivate staff for operational excellence.
- Collaborate with management teams (GM, Finance, HR, Procurement, Safety) for smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Engineering (mining/haulage focus).
- Certification in Supply Chain Management; Business Diploma an advantage.
- 5+ years’ experience in mining operations (limestone preferred).
- Strong knowledge of fleet and mining equipment operations.
- Experience in fleet policies, maintenance coordination, and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
