About the Role:

The Nursing Director will lead a team of nursing professionals, ensuring world-class patient care while maintaining hospital policies and statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management:
    • Direct, evaluate, and mentor nursing staff and leadership teams.
    • Assign duties and oversee departmental rotas.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance:
    • Uphold Nursing Council of Kenya standards and hospital policies.
    • Address client complaints, incidents, and feedback proactively.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Ensure effective resource utilization for cost containment and service quality.
    • Prepare timely reports and participate in Board committees.
  • Patient-Centric Focus:
    • Safeguard patient confidentiality and property.
    • Implement improvements based on patient feedback.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN).
    • Additional certifications in health-related fields (preferred).
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years in a hospital setting.
    • Mandatory managerial experience (unit head/facility in-charge).
    • Familiarity with hospital ERP/HMIS systems (added advantage).
  • Licensure: Valid Nursing Council of Kenya license.
  • Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making abilities.
    • Leadership, teamwork, and customer care expertise.
    • Knowledge of continuous improvement and risk management.
