JOB DETAILS:
About the Role:
The Nursing Director will lead a team of nursing professionals, ensuring world-class patient care while maintaining hospital policies and statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management:
- Direct, evaluate, and mentor nursing staff and leadership teams.
- Assign duties and oversee departmental rotas.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Uphold Nursing Council of Kenya standards and hospital policies.
- Address client complaints, incidents, and feedback proactively.
- Operational Excellence:
- Ensure effective resource utilization for cost containment and service quality.
- Prepare timely reports and participate in Board committees.
- Patient-Centric Focus:
- Safeguard patient confidentiality and property.
- Implement improvements based on patient feedback.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN).
- Additional certifications in health-related fields (preferred).
- Experience:
- 10+ years in a hospital setting.
- Mandatory managerial experience (unit head/facility in-charge).
- Familiarity with hospital ERP/HMIS systems (added advantage).
- Licensure: Valid Nursing Council of Kenya license.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making abilities.
- Leadership, teamwork, and customer care expertise.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and risk management.

Level of Education: bachelor degree
