Requirements for appointment:-
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Events Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Registered Member of the relevant professional body and in good standing.
- Good analytical and organizational skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
Duties and responsibilities:-
- Plan, organize, and manage institutional events such as conferences, workshops, exhibitions, ceremonies, and corporate social responsibility activities
- Assist in the development of annual event calendars and work plans
- Coordinate logistics including venues, suppliers, equipment, catering, accommodation, and transport for events
- Liaise with stakeholders, partners, sponsors, service providers, and participants to ensure effective event delivery
- Prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines
- Develop and disseminate publicity materials including invitations, programs, banners, and digital content
- Support protocol arrangements for dignitaries, guests, and VIPs
- Prepare post-event reports, document lessons learned, and recommend improvements for future events
- Maintain records, photographs, and videos of events for institutional archives
- Plan, monitor, and evaluate staff performance against set targets
