Requirements for appointment
- Diploma in Physiotherapy or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
- Possess a current valid practicing certificate;
- Membership of a relevant professional body;
Duties and responsibilities:-
- Conduct detailed patient assessments including history taking, observation, and physical evaluation.
- Identify movement dysfunctions and impairments due to injury, illness, disability, or aging.
- Develop individual rehabilitation plans in consultation with medical personnel.
- Administering evidence-based physiotherapy treatments such as: Manual therapy, Therapeutic exercises, Electrotherapy, Hydrotherapy, Respiratory therapy techniques.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home-based rehabilitation techniques.
- Advise patients on lifestyle adjustments and preventive physiotherapy.
- Regularly monitoring patients' progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Document treatment sessions, progress notes, and outcomes.
- Operate, maintain, and ensure the safety of physiotherapy equipment.
- Report and document faults and requisitioning for maintenance or replacement.
- Participate in community health promotion, education, and rehabilitation programs.
- Support disability prevention and physical activity campaigns organized by the County.
- Maintain accurate patient records and prepare clinical reports.
- Assist in preparing departmental reports and contributing to performance targets
