Accounts Clerk Job
We are seeking to hire an Accounts Clerk who will support our client in the day-to-day operations of the Accounts department. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and organized in fulfilling administrative and accounting support duties to the client company.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Record and reconcile daily sales, revenue, and expenses from online platforms (e.g., website, M-Pesa, card payments).
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, ensuring all financial transactions are up to date.
- Monitor inventory-related transactions and cost of goods sold entries.
- Prepare weekly sales and expense reports, highlighting key trends.
- Analyze gross margin and net profit fluctuations.
- Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements and cash flow summaries.
- Assist in budget tracking and cost analysis.
- Support in the preparation of statutory filings: PAYE, SHIF, NSSF, and VAT
- Coordinate payroll processing and ensure timely salary payments.
- Perform break even analysis, gross margin reviews, and track business performance metrics.
- Support audits and financial reviews by maintaining organized and audit-ready records.
- Provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Qualifications and Requirements
- CPA Section 1 & 2 (Section 3 and above is an added advantage).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, inventory management, and cost accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of any ERP accounting software.
- Familiarity with digital payment platforms (e.g., M-Pesa, online POS systems).
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- High Integrity/ethics
