We are seeking experienced and highly motivated professionals to join our Finance and Logistics team within a fast-paced beverage manufacturing environment. The successful candidates will support in strengthening operational excellence, financial governance and supply chain efficiency to support continued business growth across its manufacturing and distribution network.

Accountant – Shipping

Position: Accountant – Shipping
Location: Nairobi
Experience: 3–5 years
Qualification: Degree / ACCA / CPA-K

Job Summary:
The Accountant – Shipping will manage financial transactions and accounting activities related to shipping, imports, exports, freight, and logistics operations while ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and record shipping-related financial transactions.
  • Reconcile shipping invoices, freight charges, supplier statements, and payments.
  • Verify shipping documentation and associated costs.
  • Monitor freight, customs, clearing, handling, and other logistics-related expenses.
  • Prepare accounting entries and supporting schedules.
  • Conduct bank, supplier, and account reconciliations.
  • Track outstanding shipping-related payments and invoices.
  • Assist with monthly and periodic financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and well-organized accounting records.
  • Support audits by providing relevant financial documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, tax requirements, and internal controls.
  • Work closely with procurement, logistics, clearing agents, and finance teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance, ACCA, or CPA-K.
  • 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience in shipping, logistics, imports/exports, or manufacturing is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliations.
  • Good Excel and accounting-system skills.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity.
