Background
Pursuant to Section 12 of the County Government Act 2012, the County Assembly Service Board is mandated to provide services and facilities to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the County Assembly
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verification of vouchers and committal documents in accordance with laid down rules and regulations;
- Data capture, maintenance of primary records such as cashbooks, ledgers, vote books, registers;
- Preparation of simple management reports e.g. imprest and expenditure returns among others,
- Receiving duly processed payments and receipt vouchers;
- Writing cheques and posting payments and receipt vouchers in thecash books; balancing and ruling of the cash books on daily basis;
- Invoicing payment vouchers in IFMIS
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must have served in the grade of Accountant II for a period of at least three years.
- Bachelor degree in any of the following discipline: commerce, finance, economics, business administration/business management or any other equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of CPA part IIІ
- Registered with aprofessional body
- Proficiency in computer application
Experience:
- 3 years work experience in the relevant field
