We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Accounts department. The ideal candidate will be a key pillar in our Accounts Department, responsible for safeguarding the SACCO's financial integrity and ensuring the seamless management of member funds.
Responsibilities.
- Prepare and present annual/monthly revenue reports, budgets, financial statements, and cash flow projections.
- Advise management on prudent financial strategies, investment opportunities, and accounting matters. Develop and implement the Sacco's financial and accounting policies.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure robust controls.
- Treasury management.
- Ensure full tax compliance and the timely filing of all statutory deductions.
- Stay updated on evolving financial regulations and legislation affecting the Sacco sector.
- Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of staff payroll.
- Maintain and update member records to ensure data integrity.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain and monitor strict budgetary controls.
- Perform any other lawful duties as assigned by the management.
Qualifications and skills.
- Holder of a Bachelor of Commerce degree or its equivalent from a recognized University
- Is a CPA (K) holder or its equivalent and, a member in good standing.
- Prior experience with a sacco or a financial institution is an added advantage.
- Computer proficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment
