We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Accounts department. The ideal candidate will be a key pillar in our Accounts Department, responsible for safeguarding the SACCO's financial integrity and ensuring the seamless management of member funds.

Responsibilities.

  • Prepare and present annual/monthly revenue reports, budgets, financial statements, and cash flow projections.
  • Advise management on prudent financial strategies, investment opportunities, and accounting matters. Develop and implement the Sacco's financial and accounting policies.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure robust controls.
  • Treasury management.
  • Ensure full tax compliance and the timely filing of all statutory deductions.
  • Stay updated on evolving financial regulations and legislation affecting the Sacco sector.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of staff payroll.
  • Maintain and update member records to ensure data integrity.
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain and monitor strict budgetary controls.
  • Perform any other lawful duties as assigned by the management.

Qualifications and skills.

  • Holder of a Bachelor of Commerce degree or its equivalent from a recognized University
  • Is a CPA (K) holder or its equivalent and, a member in good standing.
  • Prior experience with a sacco or a financial institution is an added advantage.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment
