We are hiring a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in a part-time hybrid role. The candidate will be required to work 3 days per week from the office and handle critical financial and inventory responsibilities that support our operations and audit readiness.
This role goes beyond standard bookkeeping. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and can take full ownership of keeping accounts accurate, up-to-date, and audit-ready. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for tracking inventory and contributing to financial process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports
- Track and manage clinic inventory and stock movements
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual audits by ensuring proper documentation and reporting
- Use accounting software to manage transactions and generate reports
- Assist with payroll, petty cash, supplier payments, and tax compliance
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance financial efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of relevant work experience, ideally in a healthcare, clinic, or retail setting
- Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks)
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping, reconciliation, and inventory tracking
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills and team mindset
- Experience supporting external audits is an advantage
