Actuarial Analyst - Life Insurance Business

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform life insurance actuarial valuations for IFRS 17 and regulatory reporting
  • Develop, automate, and maintain actuarial models and reporting tools
  • Support product pricing, profitability analysis, and experience studies
  • Contribute to IFRS 17/IFRS 9 reporting, embedded value, and financial analysis
  • Support strategic projects including business planning, M&A, and regulatory advisory
  • Prepare clear reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders
  • Assist with risk, capital, and solvency assessments

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science
  • At least 5 actuarial professional exam passes (IFoA/SOA or equivalent)
  • Two to three years' experience in life insurance actuarial work
  • Practical experience with IFRS 17 life insurance reporting
  • Strong modelling and analytical skills (Excel, Python, R, Prophet or similar life insurance software)
