Job Summary

The Administrative Assistant will provide high-level administrative and operational support to the Health Administrator's office in Nairobi.

This role ensures smooth day-to-day office operations, effective communication, and efficient coordination of administrative, logistical, and documentation processes. The position requires strong organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare and academic environment.

The assistant plays a key role in supporting strategic initiatives and maintaining professional standards across the office.

Qualifications, Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, Communications, or a related field from a recognized institution
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a busy administrative or executive support role
  • Experience in customer service, office administration, or executive assistance preferred
  • Proven experience preparing executive correspondence, meeting minutes, and official reports

Competencies

  • High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with Google Workspace, SharePoint, and virtual communication platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swahili
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong teamwork and professional integrity
