Work Arrangement

Role Responsibilities

• Design difficult technical problems in areas such as aerodynamics, propulsion, structures, GNC, orbital mechanics or systems engineering, with realistic constraints and supporting data.
• Provide the correct solution and walk through the reasoning.
• Define objective criteria so another expert would reach the same verdict.
• Review problems from other contributors for accuracy and soundness of method.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or a closely related field.
• Principal, staff or fellow-level experience at a major aerospace organization, or a faculty appointment at a leading university.
• Deep technical depth in at least one aerospace subdomain, with hands-on ownership of the work.
• Able to explain why an answer is correct clearly enough that another engineer could verify it.
