Job Summary
The role holder serves as the first line of support for cyber-related issues, working within the Cyber Security Operations Section to implement and maintain security policies, manage day-to-day cybersecurity infrastructure, and ensure 99.999% system availability. The analyst provides remediation, ensures technical vulnerability compliance, and supports security controls designed to protect the Bank.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Alignment: Contribute to the overall performance of the cybersecurity function and the achievement of the Bank’s strategic objectives.
- Security Operations & Configuration: Configure, manage, and upgrade firewalls, IDS, IPS, NAC, encryption tools, content filters, antivirus solutions, and logging systems.
- Policy Enforcement & Compliance: Assist in implementing information security policies, standards, procedures, and baselines while ensuring existing products comply with industry frameworks like ISO 27001 and PCI.
- Incident Troubleshooting & Support: Act as the first line of support for Level 1 and Level 2 issues impacting cyber security operations, troubleshooting and remediating technical vulnerabilities.
- Vulnerability & Change Management: Assist in coordinating patch and vulnerability management programs, supporting system custodians with security control implementations, and documenting operational changes and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in information security or networking, such as CCNA, CCNP-Security, CEH, CISA, CISM, or operating system certifications in Microsoft Windows and Linux/Unix.
Experience & Technical Competencies
- At least 3 years of experience in IT user support, IT networks, network protocols (TCP/IP, Syslog, DNS, NetFlow), and administering Microsoft Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Working knowledge of programming/scripting (shell, Python) and web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, PHP) represents an added advantage.
- Contribute to the overall performance of the cybersecurity function and the achievement of the Bank’s strategic objectives.
