JOB DETAILS:
Anesthesia Technician Assistant
Reports To: Theatre In-Charge

Job Purpose
Assist the anesthesia care provider with acquiring, preparing and use of equipment, supplies, and medications during the administration of anesthesia. Assist with special procedures and provide support in anesthesia for routine and complex surgical cases. Functions under supervision of the licensed anesthesia care provider designated by the client facility.

Core Responsibilities
• Prepares anesthesia equipment and machines ready for use.
• Assist in induction and maintenance of anesthesia
• Clean and decontaminate anesthesia equipment and surfaces.

Minimum Requirements/ Qualifications
• Anesthetist Assistant Training Certificate
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages

Minimum Requirements/ Qualifications
• Minimum of two years working experience

Personal Characteristics & Behaviours
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Good report writing skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work in a team
