Estimate Regression Models:
- Teach students to use Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) to estimate relationships between economic variables and make predictions.
- Manage Time-Series Analysis:
- Instruct on ARIMA and GARCH models for forecasting economic and financial variables like GDP or inflation.
- Address Heteroskedasticity:
- Train students to diagnose and correct for heteroskedasticity and autocorrelation in data to ensure reliable econometric results.
- Analyze Causal Inference:
- Guide students on using quasi-experimental methods (e.g., Difference-in-Differences) to determine cause-and-effect relationships.
- Apply Panel Data Models:
- Instruct on the use of fixed and random effects models to analyze longitudinal data and control for unobserved heterogeneity.
- Conduct Economic Impact Studies:
- Guide students in using econometric modeling to estimate the impact of specific policies or external shocks on an economy.
