Duties and Responsibilities

This is the entry grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will be based in the County /Subcounty Workshops and will be attached to a small motor vehicle repair section. The officer will be supervised by a senior officer in the repair and maintenance of motor vehicles; the officer will assist in inspection, and testing vehicles before and after repairs; the officer will assist in conducting proficiency test for drivers.

Requirements for Appointment:

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-

• Craft certificate in Motor Vehicles Mechanics or equivalent and relevant qualifications from a recognized institution
• OR
• Government Grade Test III/II/I in Motor Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• a valid Driving License, and;
• Certificate in Computer Application skills.

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: professional certificate
