Responsibilities or duties

This will be the entry grade for this cadre.

An officer at this level will be on job training and will be assigned simple duties in repair and maintenance works under close supervision of a more experienced officer in line with the area of specialisation (Carpentry, Masonry, Welding, Painting and Plumbing).

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

For appointment to the grade of artisan III, candidates must have:

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade 'D' plain or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
• A Government Trade Test Certificate Grade III in the relevant trade area (Carpentry, Masonry, Welding, Painting and Plumbing) from a recognised institution.
• Proficiency in computer application

Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable

Salary Scale: Ksh. 21,120 Ksh. 26,250 p.m.

Annual Leave Allowance: Ksh 6,500. p.a.

Commuter allowance: Ksh 3000

House Allowance: Ksh 2,960-4,500 depending on the region deployed

Medical Cover: As provided by the Government
