Qualifications
Required:
- Currently hold an adjudicated Secret Clearance and be able to maintain
- BA/BS + 3 years recent specialized or AA/AS +7 years recent specialized or a major cert + 7 years recent specialized or 11 years of recent specialized experience
- GCCS-ARMY – In-depth knowledge of Managing assets as a Primary Hand Receipt holder
- Knowledge of Property Army Regulations
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Desired
- ITIL v3 – Foundation
- CompTIA Security + (IAT Level II or greater)
- Experience with Microsoft SCCM and/or other automatic reporting tools
- Experience with Microsoft Enterprise Licensing
- Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs
- Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards
- Experience with DoD IT security requirements
- Experience managing asset accuracy to Critical Success Factors (CSF)
- DoD 8570.01 Certification Compliance
- Licensed to operate forklift

- Gathering detailed hardware and software inventory information to develop and maintain an effective asset management program.
- Manage IT assets in classified and unclassified domains.
- Conduct on-site inventory of assets across the enterprise.
- Identify and remove obstacles to the completion of asset inventories.
- Follow established procedures for the decommissioning of IT assets.
- Manage supplies.
- Join financial, contractual, and inventory functions in support of new material purchases and capital equipment replacement.
- Work directly with the Government to maintain a seamless transition from the creation of purchase orders, to the delivery of assets, to the disposal of end of life items.
- Maintain the accuracy of Configuration Items (CIs) in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
- Develop and maintain processes for managing and tracking the full IT asset, license, and maintenance life cycle, from procurement to retirement.
- Define, maintain, and update policies and procedures for effective management of the IT asset life cycle (e.g., acquisition, deployment, utilization, de-installation, reallocation, and disposal).
- Track and maintain an accurate inventory of assets throughout their life cycle.
- Audit, validate, and reconcile software licenses against the installed asset base.
- Provide subject matter expertise for personal computer (PC), network, and server licensing.
- Plan for the population of the asset database.
- Manage the asset database.
- Ensure regular housekeeping of the asset database.
- Work closely with the Government to ensure policy compliance and asset maintenance.
- Identify opportunities to fully utilize unused or partially used IT hardware and software assets.
- Define metrics, collect data, and report on the effectiveness of IT asset management processes.
- Ensure that the CMDB and asset database are highly accurate.
- Research licensing models, product use rights, as well as licensing metrics and entitlements for vendor-published desktop software assets.
- May provide work direction and guidance to others.
- Develop the command asset management plan, processes, and procedures to manage configuration items listed in the CMDB.
- Manage and maintain the commands authoritative Asset Management Database.
- Manage all maintenance agreements (subscription management services) for hardware and software maintenance.
- Manage warehouse and associated logistics operations, ensure operations follow the ELITE Supply Chain Risk Management procedures.
- Provide remote support and/or travel to customer sites as required.
