Job Summary

The Assistant Chef supports the Chef in food preparation, kitchen organization, and maintaining high food quality and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing meals and ingredients.
• Support food plating and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations.
• Monitor food storage and stock rotation.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
• Assist with inventory management.
• Support the Chef during busy service periods.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Food Production or Culinary Arts.
• Food Handler's Certificate.

Experience

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a professional kitchen.

• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure.
