Requirements for Appointment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or any relevant Social Science Degree with an option in Human Resource to ensure they possess the necessary knowledge and skills in HR practices.
- Possess a current valid practicing certificate
- Membership to a relevant professional body Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM)
- The candidate must demonstrate excellent planning and organizational skills relevant to managing HR operations, payroll processing, and performance evaluations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Process the monthly payroll accurately and within the required timelines to ensure staff are paid promptly and in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Prepare the relevant personnel emolument budget to facilitate proper financial planning for staff salaries and benefits.
- Conduct relevant audits of the payroll system to maintain integrity and eliminate discrepancies or irregularities.
- Prepare and maintain relevant accurate human resource records, including employee personal files, payroll data, and leave records.
- Coordinate with relevant government departments to ensure staff are fairly remunerated in line with devolved functions and applicable regulations.
- Generate and process relevant monthly payroll reports for management decision-making and compliance purposes.
- Plan, monitor, and evaluate the performance of staff against relevant set targets to ensure achievement of organizational objectives.
