Responsibilities and Duties

Carry out feasibility studies for water supply and sewerage systems; Plan and design water supply and sewerage systems; Carry out research in various aspects of water, sewerage and hydraulics; Participate in public participation forums on water and sewerage projects; Write monthly reports on the status of water and sewerage projects; Represent the department during stakeholders meetings as may be directed by the supervisor; Write concept notes for proposed water and sewerage projects; Carry out routine monitoring of water and sewerage projects and give technical advise to contractors; Carry out projects’ inspection and do inspection reports; Engage development partners in the area of jurisdiction; Mentor staff through on job training initiatives

Requirements and Qualifications

For appointment to this grade, an applicant MUST have: -

1. Degree in any of the following disciplines; Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

2. Registered by Engineers Registration Board of Kenya as a Graduate Engineer

3. Have a certificate in computer applications from recognized institution
