Job Purpose:

The Assistant Human Resources Officer will support day-to-day HR operations, help ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and contribute to maintaining a positive and efficient workplace environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing HR policies, procedures, and programs across the organization
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation
  • Organize and manage physical and digital filing systems for HR documents
  • Support recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination
  • Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new employees
  • Help manage leave records, attendance tracking, and employee benefits administration
  • Take minutes during HR meetings and ensure timely distribution and filing
  • Assist in drafting employment contracts, letters, and other HR related documents
  • Prepare and manage HR correspondence such as memos, notices, and official communications

Key Qualifications / Skills / Competencies / Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of One Year (1) experience in an HR support role or similar capacity
  • Strong written communication skills for drafting documents, minutes, and correspondence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage filing systems efficiently
  • Strong written communication skills for drafting documents, minutes, and correspondences
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities and a collaborative mindset
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
