The Assistant Videographer is responsible for creating engaging visual content that strengthens the company’s digital presence, promotes its services, and enhances brand visibility. The role involves planning, filming, editing and publishing videos, managing the company’s social media platforms, and supporting digital marketing campaigns to drive audience engagement and brand awareness.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Plan, shoot and edit high-quality videos for social media, website, YouTube and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Capture videos and photographs during company events, trainings, interviews and corporate activities.
  • Produce short-form and long-form video content optimized for different digital platforms.
  • Maintain an organized digital library of photos, videos and other multimedia assets.
  • Manage the company’s social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok and YouTube.
  • Schedule and publish content according to the marketing content calendar.
  • Monitor audience engagement by responding to comments, messages and inquiries promptly.
  • Monitor social media trends and recommend creative content ideas.

Qualifications or requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Digital Marketing, Film Production, Media Studies, Communications or a related field.

Experience needed

  • At least one 1 year of experience in videography, content creation or social media management.
  • Experience managing business social media accounts is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut or Final Cut Pro.
  • Basic graphic design skills using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong photography and videography skills.
  • Knowledge of social media algorithms and best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
