Role Overview

The Associate – Natural Capital – Nairobi will support the execution of investment projects within the natural capital sector. This includes working on transactions related to sustainable agriculture, forestry, conservation finance, and carbon markets.

The role is suited for professionals with strong analytical capabilities and an interest in environmental finance and impact investing.

Operational Context

The Associate will work closely with senior team members and gain exposure to the full investment lifecycle. The role provides an opportunity to develop technical expertise in natural capital investments while contributing to impactful projects across Africa.

  • Conducting financial analysis and building financial models for investment opportunities
  • Supporting due diligence processes, including data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Assisting in the preparation of investment memos, pitch decks, and client presentations
  • Conducting market research to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in natural capital sectors
  • Supporting transaction execution, including coordination with legal, technical, and financial advisors
  • Engaging with project developers, partners, and stakeholders to gather relevant information
  • Monitoring portfolio investments and preparing performance reports
  • Supporting internal knowledge management and documentation processes
