Responsibilities

Set up and operate audiovisual equipment (microphones, speakers, mixers, projectors, cameras, lighting) for events, meetings, conferences and presentations, and provide technical support to event organizers. (Ref: CUEA/ADV/01/2026)

Qualifications

Diploma in Electronic Engineering or related field from an accredited institution

Experience

At least 4 years experience as an Audio Video Technician or similar position

Skills

  • Proficient in computer packages
  • Good troubleshooting skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate audiovisual equipment for events, meetings, conferences and presentations
  • Assist in the setup of stage lighting, spotlights and special effects lighting
  • Collaborate with event organizers, presenters and production teams on audiovisual requirements
  • Conduct quality control during performances and make adjustments
  • Configure projectors, screens and video sources; troubleshoot video signal issues
  • Manage audio mixing — volume, sound quality and overall balance
  • Perform regular maintenance, inspection and testing of equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, repair logs and event details
