Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Parts, Accessories and Lubricants Division, the Auto Parts Sales Assistant-Retail at AutoXpress will play a vital role in supporting the PALs team. The key responsibility of this position is to offer sales support to the retail branch network in regard to the sale of parts, accessories, and lubricants. In line with this responsibility, main functions include identifying auto parts requirements based on specific vehicle applications, making recommendations for local procurement, parts catalogue maintenance, and data collection.
This position is based in Nairobi, Kenya.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Business Support
- Handling branch enquiries on parts, accessories, and lubricants.
- Advise call centre on parts application based on vehicle specifications.
- Recommendations for local purchase requests when required.
- Local parts supplier order follow-up to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Collect and compile data on retail competition pricing.
- Collect and compile data on retail claims regarding parts, accessories, and lubricants.
Reports
- Prepare daily parts enquiries and quotations report.
- Prepare daily pending orders report.
- Prepare weekly local purchase stock movement report.
- Prepare weekly loss of sale report.
- Prepare and maintain monthly parts accessories and lubricants claim register.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, related field, or engineering course.
- Basic knowledge of auto parts and the parts industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and marketing software/tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy at work.
- Preferably a Kenyan citizen.
