Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to support the upkeep, safety, and presentation of the fleet. The Auto Body Technician will be responsible for repairing, restoring, and refinishing vehicle bodies to manufacturer and company standards. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in panel beating, dent removal, surface preparation, and spray painting to ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. This role is key to ensuring vehicles meet high standards of durability, functionality, and professional appearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform auto body repairs, including panel beating, dent removal, welding, alignment, and replacement of damaged components
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting (sanding, filling, masking, priming)
- Carry out professional spray painting, including paint mixing, color matching, and finishing
- Inspect completed work to ensure high-quality finishing and consistency
- Maintain tools and equipment such as spray guns and compressors
- Handle paints and materials safely in line with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Maintain accurate job records and material usage logs
- Collaborate with workshop teams to ensure efficient vehicle turnaround
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
What We’re Looking For
- Craft Certificate / Vocational Training in Automotive Body Repair, Spray Painting, or related field (required)
- Diploma in Automotive Body Repair, Spray Painting, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in a busy workshop environment
- Strong knowledge of vehicle body structures, paint systems, and finishing techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Proficiency in auto body repair tools and spray painting equipment
- Valid driving licence (Class BCE preferred)
