BUSINESS ANALYST

Bata Kenya is a world-class manufacturer and retailer of high-quality footwear. Our team is seeking an experienced Collection Buyer to help us manage and expand our collection portfolio. If you have a keen eye in preparing seasonal OTB and estimates and achieve estimates target both in pairs and turnover, we want you to be part of our dynamic team

• Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to production, sales, inventory, and operational performance.
• Assist in the development of data models to meet operational requirements.
• Assist in development and implementation of data management strategies, ensuring efficient data integration, storage and retrieval processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish data quality standards and perform regular data audits to identify and rectify discrepancies.
• Support the technical team in statistical analysis and predictive modelling tasks using excel, python, R-software, SQL, Power BI.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to support management decision-making.
• Identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities within manufacturing and business processes.
• Work closely with production, supply chain, finance, and sales teams to understand business needs.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis activities.
• Evaluate process performance and recommend efficiency improvements
• Assist in implementation and monitoring of business improvement initiatives.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across systems.

• Proven proficiency in at least 2 statistical programming languages for big data analysis
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
• Proactive and good market knowledge.
• Excel, Python, R-software, SQL, Power BI

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial science, financial engineering, computer science, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Experience of minimum of 5 years work experience with at least 3 years in a similar role.
• Certification in any professional course i.e. CFA, CAIA, OCIIFA, FMVA and BIDA.
• Team player and good analytical skills.
